The proposed burning of tons of Ivory and the forth coming Giant’s Club Summit to be held in Nanyuki, will focus on the theme that “Ivory is only valuable to live elephants”, cabinet secretary for Environment Prof Judi Wakhungu has said.

Speaking during an interview with a television crew from the World Wildlige Fund (WWF) from Thailand in her NHIF office, Prof. Wakhungu reiterated that, Kenya will burn over 100 tons of Ivory and rhino horns on 30th April, to demonstrate its commitment to stop the trade in products of endangered wildlife species.
