Glad to meet you! CS, Prof. Judi Wakhungu is greeted by the Sadhguru when they met during the conversation

The Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Natural Resources, Prof. Judi Wakhungu, was among eminent personalities who held conversation with the visiting Sadhguru, an Indian living mystic, yogi and a visionary humanitarian, whose work has transformed the lives of millions worldwide.

During the conversation with the Sadhguru, who is making his first visit  to the  African continent, Prof. Wakhungu briefed the Sadhguru on the programmes her Ministry is putting in place to raise the Country’s tree cover from the current 7percent to the internationally accepted standard of 10 percent, and praised the Sadhguru for his initiative in planting over 28 million tree seedlings in his native India.

In response, the Sadhguru called on Kenyans to consider ensuring the planting of trees on at least one kilometer on both sides of rivers and streams in a bid to conserve the river’s catchment. The Sadhguru, who has worked ceaselessly towards revitalizing the ancient science of yoga that has formed the fabric of India’s cultural ethos, and offers it to seekers around the world, devised technologies that employ all the four paths of yoga i.e energy, ,knowledge, action, and devotion which work for everyone and anyone when applied with focus and dedication to achieve the desired goals.

The Sadhguru is also the founder of Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the wellbeing of the individual and the world and has initiated several projects for social upliftment, education, and environment through which millions of people in rural India have been given the means and methods to overcome poverty, improve their quality of life, and achieve community-based, sustainable development.
