The CS additionally  said the launch of the National Forest Programme for the period 2016 to 2030 and which provides the strategic framework for forest policy, planning and implementation will significantly support the country’s  national efforts of revitalizing the forestry sector and improve capacity to with stand and recover from climate related stresses and disturbances.

The National Forest Programme was unveiled on 21st March this year during the International day of Forests which was held at Ramisi Primary School in Kwale County.
