The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources appreciates the continued support the Danish government, through the Danish International Development Aid (DANIDA), has continued to extend to the Ministry  in the field of environment and especially, the implementation of the Green Economy Strategy and Implementation Plan (GESIP), Principal Secretary in the State Department of Environment, Mr. Charles Sunkuli has said.

The Principal Secretary made the remarks when he received a delegation from the Danish embassy, which was led by the deputy head of mission, Mr. Lars Bredal. The deputy head of mission, who was accompanied by Anne Ang’wenyi and Paul Mbole from the Green Growth and Employment Opportunity (GGEP) in the Danish embassy, briefed the Principal Secretary on the progress DANIDA has made in mainstreaming Green Growth, work plan and budget for the 2017/2018 and the provision of weather equipment to upscale the improved use of climate data in economic planning and disaster risk mitigation.
