Ministry of Environment and Forestry yesterday conducted a webinar for faculty members of Kenya School of Government’s (KSG) five campuses in Nairobi, Mombasa, Baringo, Embu and Matuga.

The  72 members participated in the webinar it was a first step in the cooperation between MEF and KSG to develop “green” courses for government officers, throughout Kenya.
The courses focus on Climate Change, Green Growth, Circular Economy and Green Public procurement. It was organized by KSG and carried out by Augustine Kenduiwo and Lars Møller from the Green Growth and Employment Programme which is a DANIDA supported programme under the Ministry of Environment.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry has signed MoU with Kenya School of Government to establish a framework for collaboration in the design and implementation of capacity building programmes in Green Growth and Circular Economy.
 Thousands of government officers will be trained in these subjects to help accelerate Kenya’s green transition. The MoU is signed by the principal secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Dr. Chris Kiptoo, CBS, and Director General, Kenya School of Government Prof. Ludeki Chweya, CBS, and Principal Secretary, The National Treasury, Dr. Julius Muia, CBS.
