Project objective
The overall aim of the project is to improve health and environment through strengthening national and regional institutions, and implementing priority chemicals and waste related interventions.
Specifically, the project will;
- Strengthen capacity for data collection throughout the life-cycle of chemicals;
- Establish an integrated health and environmental monitoring and surveillance system;
- Reduce risks posed by chemicals and raising community awareness
- Form a mechanism for intersectional coordination for health and environment and;
- Improve understanding of the link between health and environment issues, and facilitate effective policymaking.
