Objective: To ensure that international trade in specimen of wild animals and plants do not threaten their survival. Adopted: 3rd March 1973 Ratification 13th March 1979 Entered into Force: 13th December 1979 Government Obligation: To ensure Kenya’s endangered species are protected from dangers of international trade, protect their survival and regulate international trade on endangered species. Projects/Initiatives: International Consortium on Combating Wildlife Crime (ICCWC).
