reportThe Ministry of Environment and Forestry acknowledges the enormous contribution from various institutions and experts involved in the preparation of the 6th National report to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The report takes stock of the achievements, assesses progress on implementation of the Aichi targets and identifies the challenges and gaps in implementation of the CBD in Kenya.

The 6th National report was developed through a consultative process that involved government ministries, departments and agencies, Council of governors, non-governmental organisations, development partners and the private sector. Contributions from these institutions provided policy guidance, technical and logistical support towards the preparation of this report.

The report was prepared with financial and technical support from GEF through UNEP. Additional support provided by the Nature Conservancy and other stakeholders is highly appreciated.

The multi-sectoral/ agencies technical committee that spearheaded the development of this report coordinated by the department of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) is duly acknowledged. Your commitment was unmatched and your effort is highly appreciated….read more
